Tristan Line Edit

I have rewritten the Tristan story several times, and I am at the end of my rope.

Each version is slightly different but not functionally better than the version that preceded it. I may have reached the limits of my abilities. I have at least three versions that are perfectly publishable as is, and I don’t have a clue as to which one is best.

I’m starting to see why Stephen King limes himself to a first draft, second draft and out the door.

I am self taught and do not belong to any writing groups at the present time. The only opinion I have is my own, and I’m completely unable to judge my own writing.

To solve this problem, I am going to hire a line editor and ask them to critique my manuscript.

Hopefully, it won’t cost a lot of money. But it may be worth it because I really need to know what a professional editor thinks about my writing. If the results are favorable, maybe I will relax a little and publish more.
